Artist Statement

My painting “Good Morning” represents the dawning of a new life.
John 3:3 Jesus replied, “ Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”
James 1:17,18 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.

He rescued us from the domain of darkness and death and brought us into His perfect light. The backlighting of the cut-glass bowl creates prisms of light shining through, like a diamond with many cuts, like the children of God, ever thankful in the refining trials set before us.
2 Thessalonians 2:13 But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you as firstfruits to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth.

We walk in the Spirit and offer our firstfruits to the One who gives us all, looking forward to the harvest that is yet to come. When the Son gives back to the Father those who the Father gave to Him, that we may worship and be in fellowship with Him forever, for His joy and glory.
